I vividly remember where I was on September 11, 2001. I remember waking up with my bedroom door open to the sound of mom and dad listening to breaking news about the attacks on the World Trade Centers. I remember walking into my parents bedroom just to have mom tell us to go pack our lunches for school. I remember riding on the school bus with my 4th grade class to the Utah State Fair and all the kids were buzzing with the news. I remember listening to President Bush address the nation that night.
I think now we all need to remember how America rallied together on that day and publicly testified of their belief in God. As I re-listen to President Bush's address I pray that our country can remember the trust and faith we put in God. America as a whole is losing that, and just like we will never forget September 11th we need to never forget our Father in Heaven who is just as present as on that fateful day 12 short years ago.
So true Abby. We need to get priorities straight. I remember feeling that life may be in a downhill spiral and feeling so depressed. Then life goes on and that's sort of like day to day life. Time heals and we can't forget who's in charge.
