Every Day is NOT Gameday

Personally, I am really sad that the "Holy War" is stopping after next year.  This is the first year that I really understand what is going on in football and so last night I was even surprised at how much I got into the BYU vs. Utah game.  We went over to Eric's house, had a bbq, and watched with his family.  I've never seen a family get so into the game, especially when we were SOOOOO close to tieing the game up.  Ugh!  I would've loved to see the Ute fans faces if we had made that end kick.  Oh well, next year.  Next year.

Rivalry week gets pretty intense.  That is why the university has to saran wrap all of our statues.  I know for a fact that the U doesn't have to do that.  I guess that says something about the difference between fans.  This statue is always my favorite -

We're convinced we lost because when we missed that last kick it was exactly 11:59 P.M. -- we can't play football on Sundays.  This years tee-shirts read "every day is game day."  False.  Everyday is not game day -- not Sundays.
The shirts should really read --
This morning was regional conference here in Provo.  They packed 15 stakes into the Marriott Center so we made sure to get there early to get good seats because Elder Oakes was speaking.  Since next week is the Brigham City Temple dedication we have to go back to the Marriott.  I'm not exactly looking forward to that seeing that tall people can't sit very comfortably.  Our legs are just too long.
I bought these awesome lanterns for $5 at Zurchers.  They bring some character to our apartment, don't you think?
